Since we started No Brainer in April 2015, we’ve not chased any awards or accreditations…we just hadn’t had time! That was until recently.
We took two hours out of our days filled with PR-ing others, to submit our first ever awards submission. And we’re proud to say that we’ve been shortlisted for the North’s ‘New Consultancy of the Year’ at the PRCA Dare Awards.
It’s industry gold standard stuff. And we couldn’t be prouder. There’s some amazing agencies shortlisted this year, agencies led by some people who we’ve admired from afar over the years.
Why you may not have heard of us
No Brainer is owned and operated by Lee and I. You won’t have heard of our company and probably won’t have heard of us either. That’s primarily because, by our own admission, we’ve built our company the wrong way around.
We’ve gone out seeking to earn the right to win new business before we had a brand or a profile to that could help us win it. We invested nothing in marketing in the first eleven months of our operation. We didn’t even have a website until we were a year old!
We always said we’d have achieved something when our clients told us so, not when our trophy cabinet bulges with awards, and when the outcomes we’d secured showed us so. We’re proud to say many of our clients gave us some lovely supporting statements as part of our application. And we’d like to say a big thank you to them. They make our business. They are our business.
We’ve invested everything in our 14 (and growing) clients. But they’ve invested their trust in us, and to us that means everything. It makes it easy for us to give them our all.
Looking ahead to the awards night!
We’re shortlisted along with Petal & Co. and we’d genuinely like to wish Jessica and the team the very best of luck too.
After all we know what it takes to be a newcomer, to start a business from nothing, what motivation fear can be when you take a jump like this and what it’s going to take to earn our right at the table with the big agencies.
And we’re ready…
